Don Key grew out of a simple frustration: fine jewelry shouldn't force a trade-off between beauty, ethics and price. We built a brand rooted in Los Angeles, where creativity, culture and a little irreverence live together, to make diamonds that are real, graded and conflict-free by design.

Don Key started on the brokering tables of LA's diamond district and grew up inside a family jewelry trade in Downtown Los Angeles. We were among the first to bring lab-grown diamonds to the US market.
Today every piece is still made a few blocks from where it began, on Hill Street, by people who know stones, settings and the small details that make a piece last.

Our diamonds are grown with CVD (chemical vapor deposition). Carbon settles atom by atom onto a diamond seed, recreating in weeks what the earth does over millions of years. The result passes every diamond test, because it is one.
