Request my upgrade quoteUpgrade rules
- For diamonds bought from Don Key. Bring your certificate or order number.
- Upgrades go up in size, within the same style of piece. Want a new style? We'll quote it as custom.
- You pay the price difference at today's prices, plus a $50 upgrade fee.
- Gold isn't part of the credit. We reuse your diamond, not the setting.
- If the bigger stone needs a new setting, it's quoted separately at a discount. It depends on the gold price that day.
- Stones must be free of chips or damage. We check every stone before we confirm your quote.
- Studs upgrade as a pair. Pendants upgrade one stone at a time.
- Your upgraded stone ships with a new Certificate of Authenticity and lifetime care.
Good to know
How long does an upgrade take?
Usually 1–2 weeks once we have your piece. If you need a new setting, add a few days for casting.
Can I upgrade more than once?
Yes. Every upgrade works the same way, from the size you have today.
What if my piece was a gift?
No problem. Send us the certificate ID from the card in the box, or the order number if you have it.
Can I switch shape when I upgrade?
Often yes, for example round to oval studs. Shape changes usually need a new setting, so we'll quote that with your upgrade.
